Kenneth D. Bloem, M.S.
Executive Chairman & CEO, MedDirect

Mr. Bloem is a healthcare leader who has served at the helm of several eminent U.S. healthcare centers as well as having participated in a number of innovative healthcare initiatives in the U.S. and abroad.  His leadership positions include: CEO of Stanford University Hospital, CEO of Georgetown University Medical Center, CEO of the Advisory Board Company, a for-profit strategy and research company which later spawned two highly successful IPOs (The Corporate Executive Board CEB and The Advisory Board Company ABCO); COO of University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics and a Board member of a number of health related companies, both public (Allegiance, Inc.) and privately held.
 
Additionally, Mr. Bloem has worked as: Village healthcare worker as a Peace Corps Volunteer for four years in Central Africa; Epidemiologist/manager in the world-wide World Health Organization smallpox eradication campaign in Bangladesh and Africa, meriting the distinguished award of "Order of the Bifurcated Needle"; Senior Fellow at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, where, starting in 1999, two years before the 2001 anthrax attacks, he was one of the first U.S. hospital leaders to draw attention to the lack of preparedness of the U.S. health system for emerging infectious and biological terrorism. From 2000 to 2005 he served as an advisor to the Qatar Foundation in the Arabian Gulf country of Qatar, where he helped to plan a tertiary hospital and biomedical research center.
 
He is a graduate of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan and of the Harvard School of Public Health.  He has multiple publications and speeches and has participated in numerous professional task forces and associations.

Gregory VandenBosch
President, MedDirect

Prior to co-founding MedDirect in 2000, Mr. VandenBosch worked in the banking industry and later joined ES Financial, Inc., a loan servicing company operating in the resort/hospitality industry.  Mr. VandenBosch led ES Financial, Inc. as its president for five years and became a significant shareholder during that time.  Additionally, Mr. VandenBosch is the founder of INSTAR Group, LLC, a real estate development firm, Montalto, Ltd., a property management company and the co-founder of the AVG Companies, a healthcare equipment leasing business.
  
Utilizing the distinctive competencies that had been developed in loan servicing and portfolio management for the hospitality/resort sector and lending them to the evolving consumer-oriented U.S. health sector, Mr. VandenBosch helped found MedDirect and serves as its President.  His vision and leadership have helped establish a firm foundation for MedDirect.  He is a graduate of Hope College in Holland, Michigan with a degree in Business and Economics.

Eric J. Becker
Chief Operations Officer, MedDirect

Upon graduating magna cum laude from Louisiana State University in Business Administration, Mr. Becker has enjoyed over 20 years of operations and financial leadership experience in cutting-edge companies targeting Software, Energy, Banking, Healthcare, and Biotechnology. Mr. Becker has held positions in P&L/Operations and Finance, managing domestic and international teams and leading organizations from start-up to significant revenue growth and profitability.

Prior to MedDirect, Mr. Becker was CFO & VP-Administration for Davidson Instruments, a developer of fiber optic measurement systems for oil & gas, power generation and process control industries, where he has been responsible for growing the company from R&D to product commercialization stage within three years. Previous experience includes COO of ProTeex, Inc. and COO & VP of Avreo, Inc. where responsibilities also included reorganizing the companies into a more profitable commercial status. Other experience includes management positions within Microsoft and The Advisory Board Company.

Spencer Galloway
Chief Financial Officer, MedDirect

Mr. Galloway has served over 20 years in executive leadership in senior financial, operational and general management roles with an emphasis in turning around troubled organizations and helping small to mid-sized businesses build to maturity and profitability. Mr. Galloway's extensively diverse experience includes executive positions within the retail automotive industry, manufacturing, industrial design, transportation, warehousing, construction, telecommunications, agriculture, industrial distribution, real estate development and banking.

Prior to joining MedDirect, Mr. Galloway served as COO and CFO for the Grand Automotive Family one of West Michigan's largest and most distinguished auto dealer groups. Additionally, as CFO of the MTS Transportation Systems and Bay Logistics group, a $150mm organization serving the automobile manufacturing industry, Mr. Galloway lead the business through a complete turnaround, including reorganizing the business structure, restructuring debt, acquiring and divesting several businesses, and consummating an abundance of commercial real estate transactions. Previous leadership positions include President of Price Industries, Inc., a designer and builder of material handling systems for the surface finishing industry, and President of Great Lakes Fasteners and Supply Co., an industrial distributor of fasteners to manufacturers where both companies grew in revenue and profitability. Mr. Galloway is a business administration graduate of Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI and earned his MBA degree from Western Michigan University.
