Ken Bloem is CEO and Chairman of MedDirect, a retail revenue cycle company serving hospitals and physician groups in 50 states. His career includes leadership positions at four major academic health centers: CEO at Stanford University Hospital, CEO of Georgetown University Medical Center, EVP at University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics, and AVP at Boston University Medical Center. He has also held board directorships of a number of for-profit and publicly held - health companies (including CEO of the Advisory Board Company), contributed to health policy development through appointments to university and association fellowships and committees, and served as an international public health and health services administrator. From 2000 to 2005 he led planning efforts for the development of a major biomedical research center and hospital, sponsored by the Qatar Foundation, in conjunction with the new Cornell University Medical School established in Doha, Qatar. He is a former Peace Corps Volunteer and staff member (Malawi and Congo), and a graduate of Calvin College and Harvard School of Public Health. He has taught and/or held academic positions at Stanford University, University of Chicago, Harvard and Boston University.

He is a recipient of the World Health Organization's "Order of the Bifurcated Needle" award for his contributions to the successful global smallpox eradication program. He was recently a Senior Fellow at Johns Hopkins Center for Civilian Biodefense Strategies. In addition to his former consulting practice, he was a member of the American Hospital Association's Ad Hoc Committee on Payment for Health Services as well as multiple other professional task forces and committees. Mr. VandenBosch led ES Financial, Inc. as its president for five years and became a significant shareholder during that time. Additionally, Mr. VandenBosch is the founder of INSTAR Group, LLC, a real estate development firm, Montalto, Ltd., a property management company and the co-founder of the AVG Companies, a healthcare equipment leasing business. Utilizing the distinctive competencies that had been developed in loan servicing and portfolio management for the hospitality/resort sector and lending them to the evolving consumer-oriented U.S. health sector, Mr. VandenBosch founded MedDirect and serves as its President. Mark is currently the Director of Information Technology at MedDirect. He uses his project and infrastructure management and design experience to create an Information Technology architecture that will enable MedDirect to be a leader in its field.

Mark was the Vice President and Principal Consultant of Ada Business Technology, Inc. He is a systems architect and manager who utilizes his vast experience and knowledge of Information Technology to improve business processes as well resolve IT related issues. He has over 20 years of experience in the development of business and manufacturing systems in the IBM Midrange and Microsoft environment. He re-engineered business processes to optimize functionality and minimize human error and has created data warehouses and modeled business metrics.

Prior to MedDirect, Mark was the CIO & Vice President of Information Technology at a major division of an International Fortune 500 enterprise.

Mr. Galloway has served over 20 years in executive leadership in senior financial, operational and general management roles with an emphasis in turning around troubled organizations and helping small to mid-sized businesses build to maturity and profitability. Mr. Galloway's extensively diverse experience includes executive positions within the retail automotive industry, manufacturing, industrial design, transportation, warehousing, construction, telecommunications, agriculture, industrial distribution, real estate development and banking. Prior to joining MedDirect, Mr. Galloway served as COO and CFO for the Grand Automotive Family one of West Michigan's largest and most distinguished auto dealer groups. Additionally, as CFO of the MTS Transportation Systems and Bay Logistics group, a $150mm organization serving the automobile manufacturing industry, Mr. Galloway lead the business through a complete turnaround, including reorganizing the business structure, restructuring debt, acquiring and divesting several businesses, and consummating an abundance of commercial real estate transactions. Previous leadership positions include President of Price Industries, Inc., a designer and builder of material handling systems for the surface finishing industry, and President of Great Lakes Fasteners and Supply Co., an industrial distributor of fasteners to manufacturers where both companies grew in revenue and profitability. Mr. Galloway is a business administration graduate of Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI and earned his MBA degree from Western Michigan University.

Mr. Bird has been involved at MedDirect since 2008 and currently manages sales & marketing, product development, and the client implementation process for MedDirect’s Patient Pay Solutions program. Bird has worked within a variety of industries where he has extensive leadership experience in both operations and sales/marketing. He has spent nearly 15 years developing integrated marketing communications programs, managing technology integration projects and identifying business process improvement initiatives that drive revenues and internal efficiencies.

Bird’s early career included experience at Publicis Dialog, the marketing communications division of a leading international marketing agency, where he led projects for such clients as Bombardier Inc., The American Society of Golf Course Architects, and Intermatic Inc. Most recently, Bird was as an executive for Heartwell Mortgage Corporation, one of the longest-serving, privately-held residential mortgage organizations in Michigan. Bird holds a B.A. from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., and is currently pursuing a M.B.A. from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI.

Mr. Ott is responsible for all MedDirect’s compliance initiatives and plays a significant role in the development and management of the company's comprehensive training program for all new hires and existing staff. Al possesses more than 30 years of finance and healthcare experience and has authored many of the policies and procedures for MedDirect. Al is an expert in civil, bankruptcy and probate courts. Prior to joining MedDirect, Al was the Supervisor of Patient Financial Services at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing, MI. While at IRMC, he was responsible for policing the release of PHI to third-party payer groups and served as the educational trainer for HIPAA and PHI. Prior to IRMC, Al held the same position at Sparrow Health System in Lansing, MI.

Al is member of MPAA (Michigan Patient Accounting Association), a Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management organization, and is on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Association of Collection Agencies (MACA). Additionally, Al is currently the President of the Board of Directors of the “Greater Lansing Old Newsboys”, a not-for-profit organization that provides shoes and boots to the less fortunate in the Lansing, MI area and is on the Board of “Box 23”, a volunteer group that provides food, drink and shelter for EMS personnel during two alarm fires and disasters.
